No matter the season, a wreath makes any decor a little more festive! This unique design consists of several pretty lace shapes, stitched out multiple times and arranged around a hand embroidery hoop. We'll show you how to stitch your own pretty little lace wreath!

To craft your lace wreath, you will need:
- Freestanding lace wreath embroidery design (we're making the Lush Yuletide Wreath)
- Heavy duty water-soluble stabilizer, such as Vilene or Sulky Ultra Solvy
- Rayon embroidery thread (40wt.)
- Hand embroidery hoop (we used a 7 inch hoop)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Ribbon for hanging
Start Embroidering:
Begin by stitching the pieces of freestanding lace onto heavy duty water-soluble stabilizer using 40 weight rayon thread. Stitch one lace piece per hooping to keep your lace looking its best. How many pieces you choose to make is entirely up to you! We started with approximately seven stitchouts of each piece.
Once you're done stitching, rinse and dry each piece completely. (Here's more on stitching freestanding lace).
Using your hot glue gun, start arranging and overlapping your lace pieces onto the hand embroidery hoop. Keep in mind that the more you overlap, the more lace pieces you will need. Feel free to experiment with more or less lace – the choice is entirely up to you. For this example, this 7 inch hoop took 28 pieces of lace to complete.
Use a pretty ribbon tied around the hoop for hanging your wreath as an ornament or on a door.
Add lights, a big bow, or other lace pieces into your unique rustic wreath! The possibilities are endless.
Get Inspired:
This glam celestial wreath goes together the same way. Hang the crescent moon in the middle for a bit of unique flair! You can also use paint or a permanent marker to coordinate your hoop with your lace.
